Driven Aftermarket Car Show
One of my passions is cars and as a person who can’t NOT do some sort of basic “bolt on boys” mods to any car that I’ve owned, I absolutely LOVE hitting up any local car club meet, car show, or a “Cars n Coffee” style get together to check out the action. Of course, being an avid photographer, I always bring my camera along with me.
Well, on the weekend of June 13, 2026, I made my way out to the Driven Aftermarket Car Show in Coquitlam, B.C., Canada to take in all the glory that is West Coast car culture. Now, this event has been going on for a while now and I’ve attended it the last few years, and every year, it seems to get bigger and better, with more cars and the people who build them and drive them showing up.
This year’s event was a bit special though, as the legend himself, Akira Nakai of RWB was there, building an amazing wide-bodied Porsche 997 owned by RWB.Hira. Now, I’ve seen him and his team do these mods in video and photos before, but seeing him work his magic in person was a whole new level and brings a whole new level of respect for him and what he does. Amazing.
I love attending events like these and love capturing photos and footage of all the amazing builds and the people who build them.
